Announcement No. 4/2020 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology of March 16, 2020. issued on the basis of Regulation No. 21/2020 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology on March 9, 2020 on special solutions related to the prevention, counteraction and combating of COVID-19 at Lodz University of Technology
1. Academic teachers employed in the group of teaching, research and research and teaching staff carry out didactic classes and work to the greatest possible extent, using all available tools, methods and techniques of work and distance learning.
2. Academic teachers inform the heads of their units and subject managers on an ongoing basis about the progress in implementing education and work referred to in point 1.
3. Heads of units and subject managers are obliged to exercise continuous supervision over the implementation referred to in point 1. I would like to remind you of the obligation to use the University's Electronic Mail System and to follow the instructions of the University Authorities, as well as those conducting the classes, in particular regarding the implementation of classes with the use of distance learning methods and techniques.
4. The work of employees who are not academic teachers is organized in a way that ensures the continuity of the University's work in the field of administrative and technical services. Employee duties are performed remotely at the request of the employee and with the consent of the superior or on the order of the superior. In the case of remote work, the Announcement No. 2 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology of March 13, 2020 is applied and is at the disposal of the immediate supervisor through programs and IT tools such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, the WIKAMP Platform and the telephone number indicated by them. People performing work at their workplace perform work under the existing conditions in accordance with the Work Regulations at Lodz University of Technology, limiting direct contacts to a minimum. You are reminded to take your annual leave. In justified cases, the superior, i.e. The Rector, Vice-Rector, Dean, Director of the institute, Head of the Department, Head of the university-wide unit, Chancellor and Bursar, may consent to days off for working off. I oblige all employees to leave the current contact details to their immediate superiors, to monitor their official mailboxes on a daily basis and to be ready to respond to the instructions of their immediate supervisor.
5. Managers of organizational units and cells are responsible for the proper organization of work and business continuity.
6. The bursar is obliged to provide financial and accounting services, payments and other obligations of the University in this regard.
7. The Chancellor is obliged to ensure security on the premises of the University and its buildings and to limit the access of unauthorized persons.
8. The director of UCI ensures the continuity of work of the WIKAMP Platform and other IT tools made available through UCI.
9. The announcement comes into force on March 16, 2020 and is valid until further notice.
