In relation to the Recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education on education conducted with the use of distance learning methods and techniques of 17 March 2020, please be informed that the rules of conducting classes using distance learning methods and techniques established and contained in the announcements issued so far, i.e.:
- Announcement No. 2 of Rector of Lodz University of Technology of 13 March 2020;
- Announcement No. 4 of Rector of Lodz University of Technology regarding work organization at Lodz University of Technology of 16 March 2020;
- Announcement of Vice-Rector for Education of TUL regarding access to distance classes for foreign students registered at TUL in the summer semester of the 2019/2020 academic year of 27 March 2020.
The recommendations and instructions contained in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education document of 27 March this year are mostly implemented in TUL, and conducting classes with the use of distance learning methods and techniques in TUL does not require significant changes.
At the same time, I remind you that Lodz University of Technology provides, legally and free of charge to all authorized users, tools so as to conduct classes using distance learning methods and techniques, all of which are listed below, and which ensure compliance with applicable law, including in particular copyright, license as well as protection of personal data:
- WIKAMP remote teaching and communication platform;
- Office365 cloud tools with particular emphasis on Teams;
- TUL Webinar platform.
The responsibility for the use of other external tools, without the agreements made by the TUL, is borne by the academic teachers using them. It is forbidden to require students to bear the costs of using such tools.
At the same time, I would like to inform you that the settlement of didactic workload of individual employees for classes conducted with the use of distance learning methods and techniques will be carried out according to didactic commissions from the beginning of the semester, regardless of the method currently defined in the study program for these classes.
The final verification and settlement of the achievement of learning outcomes related to classes that will be conducted using distance learning methods and techniques should take place after the University's return to direct education, at the University and under the direct supervision of the teacher.
