Based on Article. 23 (1) and (2) point 2 of the Act of July 20, 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2020, item 85, as amended d), § 14 (1) and (2) of the Statute of Lodz University of Technology - Resolution No. 88/2019 of the Senate of Lodz University of Technology of July 10, 2019, § 1 (1) point 1 and (2) of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of October 30, 2018 on the method of ensuring safe and hygienic working and education conditions at universities (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 2090), in connection with § 25 (1) of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of February 26, 2021 on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with an epidemic (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 367, as amended), I order the following:
§ 1
1. In the Regulation No. 48/2020 of the Rector of Lodz University of Technology of September 17, 2020 on the organization and participation in didactic classes, as well as the organization and participation in exams, tests and consultations conducted in the premises of Lodz University of Technology under the conditions resulting from the prevention, counteraction and combating the COVID epidemic -19, the following changes are introduced:
1) in § 2, (1) shall be replaced by the following:
"1) on the premises of Lodz University of Technology, including in buildings, the obligation to permanently cover the mouth and nose with protective agents, the order of wearing it results from generally applicable regulations, by students, participants of doctoral studies and doctoral students of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology, participants of postgraduate studies, courses , training and other forms of education; ";
2) in Appendix No. 1 to the above-mentioned Ordinance:
a) point 1 is replaced by the following:
„1. At the entrances to the University buildings where classes or teachers' consultations take place, a message in Polish and in English should be posted, instructing the participants of the classes and outsiders to use protective measures to cover the mouth and nose, the obligation to wear them results from generally applicable regulations and disinfecting hands before entering the building and each time before entering the rooms where classes or consultations are held. "Participant of classes" in these recommendations is understood as a student, doctoral student, participant of postgraduate studies, course, training and participant of other forms of education attending classes at the University. ",
b) point 6 is replaced by the following:
„6. Classes may be conducted in groups of the size resulting from the generally applicable regulations, in auditoriums, classrooms and laboratory rooms, provided that appropriate intervals are maintained, i.e. min. 1.5 m in each direction between participants and between participants and teachers. The tables in the rooms should be set up and staffed with participants in such a way that there is at least 1.5-meter distance between people in each direction. ",
c) point 8 is replaced by the following:
„8. Participants of didactic classes have an unconditional obligation to cover their mouth and nose with the use of protective measures throughout the duration of the classes, the requirement to wear which results from generally applicable regulations. The University does not provide the participants with these means of protection. ",
(d) point 17 is replaced by the following:
„17. When moving around the classroom, teachers should have their mouth and nose covered, using protective measures for this purpose, the requirement to wear it results from the generally applicable regulations. ",
(e) point 19 is replaced by the following:
„19. It is recommended that the participants of the classes have the opportunity to briefly leave the room in which the classes are held for a period of 15-minute breaks in classes, at intervals of no more than 45 minutes. Additionally, such breaks in classes should be used to ventilate the rooms. ”;
3) in Appendix No. 2 to the above-mentioned Ordinance:
a) in the chapter "Group written tests and examinations", point 1 shall be replaced by the following:
„1. Written exams and tests may be carried out in auditoriums, classrooms and laboratory rooms of Lodz University of Technology, provided that there are appropriate gaps between the test takers and between the test takers and the person conducting the test. The number of people in the room may not exceed the number resulting from the generally applicable regulations. Tables in the room should be arranged and manned in such a way that there is at least 1.5-meter distance between the candidates in each direction. ",
b) in the chapter "Group written tests and examinations", point 10 shall be replaced by the following:
„10. It is required that the candidates for the entire duration of the test or examination use protective measures to cover the mouth and nose, the order of which to wear results from the generally applicable provisions. The university does not provide equipment for the candidates with these means of protection. ",
c) in the chapter "Group written tests and examinations" point 11 is replaced by the following:
„11. The examiners and supporting teachers should have their mouth and nose covered while moving around the room, using protective measures, the requirement of which to wear results from generally applicable regulations. ",
d) in the chapter "Individual oral examinations, tests and consultations", point 5 shall be replaced by the following:
„5. During their stay in the common room, the teacher and the participant should have their mouth and nose covered while applying protective measures, the obligation to wear them results from the generally applicable provisions. The University does not provide these means of protection for the candidates or the consulted persons. ”;
4) in Appendix No. 3 to the above-mentioned Ordinance:
a) point 1 is replaced by the following:
„1. On the premises of Lodz University of Technology, including in buildings, there is a rule of covering the mouth and nose with protective measures, the requirement to wear which results from generally applicable regulations. ",
b) point 2 is replaced by the following:
„2. During classes, only the participants of the classes (according to the timetable) and teachers conducting the classes may stay in the classroom. The number of people in the room may not exceed the number resulting from the generally applicable regulations. ",
c) point 7 is replaced by the following:
„7. People participating in the classes are required to have their own protective equipment covering the mouth and nose, the obligation to wear it results from the generally applicable provisions. The university does not provide these means of protection for the participants of the classes. People without the above-mentioned means will not be admitted to classes, which is considered as absence from the class. ",
(d) point 10 is replaced by the following:
„10. When moving around the classroom, teachers should keep their mouth and nose covered. ”;
5) in Appendix No. 4 to the above-mentioned Ordinance:
a) in the chapter "Group tests and written examinations", point 5 is replaced by the following:
„5. Only the examiner and the teacher conducting the examination / test may be present in the room during the examination or test. The number of people in the room may not exceed the number resulting from the generally applicable regulations. ",
b) in the chapter "Group tests and written examinations", point 9 is replaced by the following:
„9. The test takers are required to have and use for the entire duration of the exam or to pass their own protective equipment covering the mouth and nose, the order of which to wear results from generally applicable provisions. The university does not provide these means of protection. People without the above-mentioned funds will not be admitted to the examination room, which will be treated as an absence from the exam or passing the exam. ",
c) in the chapter "Group tests and written examinations", point 16 is replaced by the following:
„16. The persons conducting the exam or passing credit and supporting teachers should keep their mouth and nose covered while moving around the examination room. ",
d) in the chapter "Individual oral examinations and tests, face-to-face consultations", point 7 is replaced by the following:
„7. Persons who take an examination, test or consultation are required to have and use their own mouth and nose covering measures, the wearing of which results from generally applicable regulations. The university does not provide these means of protection. People without the above-mentioned means will not be admitted to the room where the examination / credit / consultation takes place, which will be treated as an absence from the examination / test.”
2. The other provisions of the Ordinance remain unchanged.

The ordinance comes into force on March 8, 2021.
